What is My IP Address? (IPv6)
What is my IP Address?
Like what I do, buy me a coffee.
IP stands for "Internet Protocol". An IP address is a unique address that identifies a device on a network, including the Internet.
IPv6 is the next Internet addressing protocol that is used to replace IPv4. With IPv6, there are approximately 340 trillion trillion trillion unique IPv6 addresses, allowing the Internet to continue to grow and innovate (for example IoT). Given the huge number of connected devices (50 billion), IPv6 can potentially be used to address all these devices (and systems).
